The PowerofONE Project

ONE word can change a person’s life.

The Power of ONE is an art-based workshop to learn about the impacts of language in bullying and discrimination. The goal of the project is to engage in an open dialogue through art, in a safe environment, to understand the impacts of language.

Our 90-minute workshop features an interactive discussion of different types of bullying. We creatively engage participants in the impacts of bullying, while also helping them understand the importance of celebrating differences. We challenge participants to think critically, build empathy and promote diversity. Through the workshop participants create their very own PowerofONE art piece, ranging from our customized individual T-shirts, to a collaborative art piece for the community to enjoy. Our workshops can also be tailored to focus on a particular issue or types of language.

We have worked with many community agencies and schools in the GTA to spread the message, to showcase all of the amazing art that is created, the project ends with an annual Art Exhibit.
